The event marked the beginning of the center\u2019s five-year effort to expand UH\u2019s research capabilities and accelerate discoveries that improve the prevention and management of chronic disease.<br>Attendees learned about the RCMI\u2019s four integrated cores, its research projects, and the opportunities it will create for investigators across the University. The gathering also provided an early opportunity to strengthen connections among the people whose expertise and collaboration will bring the center\u2019s ambitious vision to life.<br>More than a celebration, the kick-off signaled that the work is underway.
